Location of Carlton URC, Halifax

Leave M62 at Jn26 Bradford turnoff and follow the A58 towards Halifax.

Follow A58 through Hipperholme until you arrive at Halifax centre.

As you are approaching you come down the hill and cross over the flyover bridge keeping in the left lane for the A629 Huddersfield.

Left hand lane at the roundabout with traffic lights take the FIRST EXIT A629. (Town Centre & Elland)

Stay in the LEFT Lane and approach the next lights (Mecca Bingo on your Right). Bend Right on going through the lights and continue in Left Lane up the incline to the next lights.

Bend left through lights staying on A629 and approach roundabout in left lane, pelican lights just before roundabout. (** alternate route to car parking below)

Follow A629 round to the LEFT (1st exit) and cross the pelican on leaving the roundabout but move to RIGHT Lane on leaving roundabout and take FIRST RIGHT just after the pelican ‘The Salvation’ pub on your right. Turn Right onto Harrison Road. Carlton URC is on the left at the first cross roads.

As this is meter parking you should turn right and proceed up Carlton Street. There is a large Council car park at the top of Carlton Street (High Street) which is free on Saturday.

On approaching the roundabout take the RIGHT LANE and follow the A58 Burnley sign. Turn Right at the roundabout (2nd Exit) the Salvation will be on your left.

Continue up the hill and after the Courier Clock, on the left, take the 3rd left. On turning left you will have the Beehive & Cross Keys pub on your right at this junction. The car park is facing you.

On foot leave the car park at the bottom right and cross the road to the top of Carlton Street. Walking down to Carlton Street then to its junction with Harrison Road. You will see Carlton URC across the road.

Those travelling from Huddersfield A629

Follow the signs for the Town Centre, go past the swimming baths on your right and continue past the Halifax Head Office bending left at the filter traffic lights, Victoria Theatre in front. Take 2nd Left onto Harrison Road and continue as above or continue to the roundabout and take the first exit A58 Burnley then continue as above to the car parking area.
