Using the Company Support Scheme

For the Battalions which have already implemented the Company Support Scheme then you should know who your Company Support Officers (CSO) are. If your Battalion has not yet considered using the scheme then you should look into it more carefully.

The Support Scheme is there to offer Companies support and advice. Your local CSO is an experienced and knowledgeable BB Officer. They will either ask to come and visit your Company to see how you are getting on. Alternatively, you can ask a CSO to visit your Company for a specific purpose. For example, advise on programme activities, fundraising, managing a section etc. The key is to discuss the issues with the CSO at an appropriate time, which is usually not the Company night as everyone is far too busy, and to listen and act on their advice. They are there to help. Your Company is part of a Battalion, and it's part of the Support Scheme's aim to make you feel part of the Battalion and the wider BB community.
