Halifax BBGB Band has been hard at work this week in preparation for the British Youth Band Association National Finals which is being held at ‘The Alexandra Stadium’ in Crewe on 3rd October 2010.
The band have has a surprisingly good year coming 4th at Cudworth, 3rd at Barnsley , 4th at Stafford and 7th at Coventry. The band hope that they will end in the top 5 at the National Finals. Robert Batty says ‘the band have worked really hard through what’s been a difficult year. I just hope that all this hard work pays off on the day and that the kids play the best they can’.
Although the band’s competitive season comes to an end on Sunday 3rd October the band still has three more parades to lead not to forget the cold evenings playing Christmas Carols at their local supermarket to help raise funds.
Finally the band would like to wish all other competing units the best of luck especially to the other Brigade band in their division - Stafford Brigades.
