DofE Leaders Training Day

For anyone interested in, or who runs, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in their Company a Training Day has been organised for Saturday 13th February. The course will take place at Felden Lodge at a cost of £20.

The day is intended as a training and update day for potential, new and existing DofE personnel. Attendance by Brigade Training Officers is welcomed.

Attendance comes highly recommended as there have been numerous changes to the DofE Award recently. The course will cover such topics as:

• The aims and key principles of the Award;
• the range of Operating Authorities;
• How to operate the DofE alongside the BB Company work;
• Basics of eDofE;
• The Expedition & Outdoor Leadership Certificate;
• Assessor Accreditation;
• Further training opportunities.

The DofE Introduction to the Award Modular Certificate will be awarded on satifactory completion of the day.

Closing date for applications is 23rd January 2010. Copies of the form can be obtained from the BB National Website or from Lee Hyland, the Battalion DofE Co-ordinator.
