Becoming an Instructor/Helper

If you feel that you are not ready to become an Officer in the Boys' Brigade but wish to remain involved in the work of your Company, then consider becoming an Instructor. This will mean you can continue to work in your Company and still benefit from all the opportunities which the BB can offer.

Though you do not have the same responsibilities as an Officer you will have an important role in the successful running of your Company.

As with anyone who becomes as Officer you will have to undergo a Criminal Records Check and attend a training course covering Health & Safety, and Child Protection issues. The check will be carried out either by the BB or Church.

If you feel this is the right option for you discuss it with a Company Officer or Captain.
