The Discover Programme

The Discover Programme is the Award programme for Company Section Members (those in years 7 to 10).

The aim of the new programme is for you to experience new challenges, to have your say and be part of the wider community, and above all, to have FUN!

The programme is divided into 3 Zones, which are:

• Community
• Recreation
• Skills

and these represent the awards you will wear on your armband.

Each of the Zones is divided into 3 Sub-Zones, and these into a number of Sectors. The Sectors then contain a wide range of Topics. Below is a picture of the centre of the Discover Wheel which shows the Zones, Sub-Zones, Sectors and examples of Topics. Clicking on the image will open a larger version in a new window.

The activities that make up your Company night are taken from the range of Topics in these Sectors. Over the BB session you will complete a number of activities from all of the Zones and Sub-Zones. To gain an award you will need to complete at least 1 topic from all 3 Sub-Zones in each Zone. In addition you will complete at least one Christian Faith Topic (shown in red on the Topic circle on the wheel). More information on how awards are achieved is given on the Gaining the Awards page.
