About Us

As the name suggests, The Yorkshire and Humberside District of the Boys' Brigade encompasses the Battalions in the County of Yorkshire and the former County of Humberside, now Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. This makes the District one of the largest in England stretching from Scarborough in the North to Chesterfield and Lincoln in the South, and as far West as Halifax.

This section of the site contains information on:

• The District Executive, who manage the activities of the Yorkshire and Humberside District;
• The Battalions and Companies which make up the District;
• What it means to be a Leader within the Boys' Brigade; and,
• What and how the Boys' Brigade achieves its object.

The District patron is Sir James Hill Bt, OBE, DL , who is an enthusiastic supporter of the work of the Boys' Brigade in Yorkshire and Humberside.
