Training Course Details

The aim of the DSL (Day Sports Leaders) Award is to provide candidates with the Leadership Skills necessary to assist with the delivery of simple games and sports activities within community settings. By the end of the Course, candidates will have an understanding behind the delivery of simple sports activities and will have developed practical skills that will assist in delivering sessions.

This is a brand new course to the BB in this area and is a nationally recognised, certified award. It may also count for UCAS points in the near future for those wishing to go on to University. This course may also be used for those who need Skills Based Training for their Queen’s Badge.

It is aimed at young people in the Boys’ Brigade between the minimum age of 16 and 26 years. It is equally suitable for young people with a physical disability.

The day will commence at 10.00 am with an approximate finish time of 6.00 pm.

The course fee is £5.00 per person. Payable on Booking and is non-returnable.

As participants are under 18, each member should bring a fully completed special event consent form.
