Build Your Skills

The BYS (Building Your Skill) Course is the team-working course, which now accompanies the Discover Programme. Members in School Year 10 usually access this course. Attendance at a BYS course is needed if the young person is to gain their President’s Badge. The Battalion or District can hold courses.

The course includes games, activities and challenges that involve youngsters working as part of a team and highlights to them what being a team player involves. The course can easily be adapted to suit youngsters with special needs, providing we are fully aware in advance (please indicate this on the reverse of the booking form).

20th October 2008. Bookings should be accompanied by the FULL fee, which is not returnable. The fee per member is £4. As participants are under 18, each member should bring a fully completed special event consent form.
