Brigade Training Officers and Tutors are Officers who have undergone additional training in how to deliver effective courses, and are approved by BB Headquarters. A Training Officer can organise and deliver any of the BB's training courses. A Tutor supports the work of the Training Officer by delivering components of courses, although they cannot organise and run courses themselves. All BB training is delivered by Brigade Training Officers, including the "Build Your Skills" and Queen's Badge Completion courses.
Any Battalion and/or District wishing to provide training courses must apply for a Licence to Train from BB Headquarters. In addition to having approved Training Officers, they need to appoint a Training Convenor to be responsible for managing the training which occurrs in their area.
Anyone who feels they have the skills to become a Brigade Training Officer should have first been an Officer for at least 2 years after completing their YLT. They should then discuss their interst with a Training Officer or Convenor who will provide advice on taking any application further. |
